Klein presented "Liquid Crystal Elastomers:
Synthesis and Applications," at the Midwest region SAMPE
student competition at Sinclair Community College in Dayton,
Ohio. He placed first among the masters and undergraduate
students, and was awarded a $500 prize. (2-22-2008)
