Sloan Award Presentation
On November 18, 2009, CRG was presented with a 2009 Alfred P. Sloan award from the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility are part of "When Work Works," a national project on workplace effectiveness and workplace flexibility from Families and Work Institute in partnership with The Institute for a Competitive Workforce, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Twiga Foundation.
The Sloan award measures an employer’s workplace flexibility programs, policies and culture against national data from Families and Work Institute’s National Study of Employers and then validates these with employee input. Employers that rank in the top 20% of employers when compared with these national norms are selected as finalists, and final round involves a survey of employees. The selection of winners is based on a score that combines employer and employee responses. (11-18-09)
