The R&D Contract Process

Research and development can often seem daunting and complicated. Contracts are hard to understand or poorly explained, and R&D services are often too expensive. As a result, many think that the research and development field is available only to companies with deep pockets and an established history of doing their own internal R&D work.

CRG wants to make R&D available to customers at any level. Our R&D process is simplified, user-friendly, and focused on what you want. There isn’t an overwhelming list of steps to follow to figure out what is happening, neither are there time-consuming barriers to keep you from getting what you need. In fact, the entire contract development process centers on the options you choose. Clients are able to customize their own contracts and take control of the process from the beginning. CRG's simple, four-step contracting process is outlined below.

CRG R&D Contracting Process

1. Initial Contact and Discussion – CRG engineering, science, and business team members will meet with you to discuss your needs and gain an understanding of your challenges.
   
   
2. Statement of Work – CRG will negotiate a Statement of Work that meets your technical and business constraints.
   
   
3. R&D Quotes – CRG will provide a quote and proposal. These will contain a list of options that will allow you to alter the contract quote to fit your constraints.
   
   
4. Negotiation – Once a mutually acceptable quote and proposal are agreed on, CRG will create a contract or review your standard contract and come up with an instrument that permits us to begin work as soon as possible.
